Helloooo everybodyyyyy!! I hope you all had an amazing week because I had a pretty darn good one so let's get into it!! It's gonna be a long one so there's your warning...
On Monday me and Sister Stevens went out to lunch at my favorite restaurant here for my birthday!! Afterward, we went thrifting and I found some really good stuff!! I also got a sick Polaroid camera for my birthday and I'm absolutely obsessed with it!!
On Tuesday I turned 21!! Literally, how am I that old?? I could buy alcohol if I wanted.... stay tuned hehe..jkjkjk. Anyway, that day we got to do some service at a funeral for a family member in the ward. It was really cute but it was pretty tragic how they lost him. He was 30 years old and got into an argument with a family friend and the friend shot him. There were a lot of people there and it was a non-member funeral. It really made me think about how important the knowledge of the plan of salvation is because a lot of the people there were so not doing ok. It's a good thing we know what we know because it's brought me a lot of peace and comfort. Later that day, we had a lot of lessons and a sweet family in my ward fed us for dinner!! I ate WAY TOO MUCH cake that day because 3 different members made me some.
On Wednesday a mission tour with Elder Sikahema started. Elder Sikahema played in the NFL for 8 years and was a boxer so he's a cool dude. He's in the area presidency and me and Sister Stevens had to do a role play in front of almost the whole mission. It was terrifying but it went pretty well. We got to see all the other missionaries and it was so fun!!!
On Thursday we went to service so we planted tomato plants outside for 4 hours and the weather decided it was summer. The temperature got up to 86 degrees so I got absolutely fried and ended up looking like a tomato #firstsunburnoftheyear.
The next day we had MLC with Elder Sikahema and yes I got made fun of for being pale. It was a good meeting!! I love stuff like that because we just get spiritually fed so well. Something I've been thinking of is how a lot of people in the world think that God is a "which" instead of a "who." They think He is a thing instead of a person. We talked about how each one of us has a divine identity and God is a person who loves us more than we will ever know!! How awesome is that??
Now for the story you have all been waiting for ... yesterday, we went to a member's home for dinner. When we left, we saw a ton of deer, so of course we had to get out and feed them some Cheez-Its. I had one in my hand and started trying to get close to the deer while Sister Stevens was standing behind me videoing. I looked back at her and then looked back at the deer and I must've spooked the deer or something so he jumped and ran, my fight or flight response kicked in and I turned around and ran so fast while throwing the Cheez-its at it. In case anyone was wondering cheez-itz are impossible to throw. But once I finally got to the car, I turned around and Sister Stevens was standing in the middle of the road laughing SOO hard with her legs crossed and she straight up peed her pants. It definitely was the highlight of the week. We sent the video to our district and instead of making fun of her for literally peeing her pants, they came for my throat for how I threw the cracker but man was it funny!!!
Anyway, I hope everyone has an awesome week like always!!
