Ok, this is my second time typing this because right before I sent the last one it was deleted and I don't know where it went. So I hope everyone had a good week mine was a rollercoaster.
On Monday I had a district activity. We played volleyball and then went to Culvers. It was pretty standard. On Tuesday we had exchanges so I went to Flint with Sister Pace. She is amazing and is a chef.
On Wednesday I had interviews with the mission president and they were very interesting. He was a doctor before the mission so I asked him what the symptoms of a stomach ulcer were because I thought I had one. He had me lay down on the table in the church and he basically gave me a check-up. He told me to go get some drugs and I'm doing a lot better now.
Thursday was absolutely insane. We had 4 lessons which normally doesn't happen for us. We started teaching this guy named Chris who is in his 20s. He's really cool and came to church yesterday!! We also knocked on this lady's door named Pam and she went off on us bashing the Book of Mormon so that was kind of awful but hey, it's a good story. On Friday we went to service and when we walked in, the manager said they were having a Superbowl party and said our service was to be his taste testers of all the food everyone brought. I was in heaven. Also on Friday, we had a lesson with this lady named Debbie that I found on Facebook and we had done service for her when it snowed. A little bit ago I made a post about temples and she reacted with a care emoji so I messaged her. She said she was really interested in temples and learning more about our religion. It was so cool because I had just expressed to Sister Jorgensen that I have never seen success from social media but I dub that a success (so far). On Saturday it got up to like 45 degrees so we went outside without our coats on and went park contacting. It was amazing. It's amazing what the sun can do for your mood. It has been the best!!
On Sunday I was finally able to give my talk and it went pretty well. When we got to church, our Bishop came up to us and gave us a rolled-up poster board. We unrolled it and all the youth had made us a poster and I almost cried.
We have seen so many miracles this week and I am just so grateful for the gospel and the joy it brings to my life and the lives of those I'm sharing it with. Look for the Lord's hand in your life. Even the details. You'll see it!!
Anyway, hopefully, I didn't forget anything I mentioned in the first one. I hope everyone has an amazing week and a HAPPY VALENTINES DAY *HEART EMOJIS*
Trust in the Lord
Love,
Sister Welch ♡
