Helloooo everybodyyy!! This week has kind of gone comically wrong so here is what happened to us this week.

Monday was SO fun!! We had a district activity and we went to Joanns, picked names out of a hat, and picked out fabric for the person we got. After we did that we went to the church and made tie blankets as a district. It was the funnest thing ever and I highly recommend it. That night I accidentally stepped on a mirror and it shattered so 7 years of bad luck is what we've had this week.
On Tuesday is when everything kinda started.... we had woken up and we heard scratching in the bathroom in the wall. There was definitely something in there. We got a little paranoid that it was a rat so we went to Walmart and got traps and a lot of cleaning supplies. We're gonna put a pin in that story for a second.
Wednesday we went to the Farmington Hills district DC. That night we were getting ready for bed and our toilet started profusely flooding from the bottom of the tank. We had to call our district leader to ask him what to do because the apartment coordinator wasn't answering. We got the water turned off and we couldn't use our toilet. Fast-forward to Thursday morning....
I'm doing dishes and I just hear Sister Griffin gasp so loud. My heart dropped into my stomach and I asked what happened and all she said was she found what was in the wall. I went over to her and this hamster/gerbil-looking thing was just standing by the toilet. I went to get one of the traps to put it in the bathroom and the thing went under the sink back into the wall.... So we thought.... We were getting dressed for the day and while we were in the closet deciding what to wear we saw it crawling under my clothes. We screamed and long story short we caught it under a bowl. We ended up getting a cage for it and we were going to keep it for about a week but then she started smelling SOOO bad. We brought it to the office of the apartment complex and they were like "YOU FOUND ANOTHER ONE?!?" I guess they had found one in the hallway earlier that day. Her name is Tammy the hammy. She will be missed.
Friday we went on another exchange with Commerce and I went there with Sister Incardone again and it was so fun!!
This week is transfers so stay tuned for any changes that may happen. :)
This week I've been teaching a lot and thinking a lot about the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Just the fact that he has felt every pain and sorrow we have felt and will feel is so crazy. He just loves us so much that he put himself through that.
This next weekend is General Conference and we get to listen to the Prophet of God!! Everyone should watch it!!
Anyway, I love you all!!
Trust in the Lord!!
Love,
Sister Welch ♡

Helloooo everybodyyy!! I am so sorry if all of my letters are long. I myself would not read them but here you go!

We started off the week with a zone activity!! We made all of the district leaders buy pizza and we all met at the church and played volleyball, basketball, spikeball, and just hung out.
On Tuesday we were doing stop by's and we were trying to find this less active member. We put in her address and Google Maps took us to this mobile home park. We double-checked when we got there and we were nowhere near the address we had for her. We decided to knock on the house anyway and this lady named Mida answered. She is just the cutest! We gave her a Book of Mormon and it was just so neat how God puts us in the right place at the right time. Always trust Google Maps!!
On Wednesday we went on exchanges with the Commerce Sisters. I went to Commerce with Sister Incardone and it was so fun! We stopped by these people that they are teaching that LOVE missionaries! They have like 4 kids and the whole time I was there they were talking about my height and asking how tall I was. I found out afterward that they now refer to me as Goliath's daughter. so there's that!
MIRACLE OF THE FREAKING WEEK!! Sister Griffin messaged this random guy on Facebook and he told us right before we reached out, he was researching the Book of Mormon and Mormon baptisms. We invited him to come to a baptism and he absolutely loved it! He told us he knows this is the true church and asked when he can start planning his!! He is now on date for October 7th so pray for Chris!!
I read this scripture the other day and it really stuck out to me. It is in the Book of Mormon and it's right after Alma talks about the joy he feels from sharing the gospel and their success.
 It says;
"Now was not this exceeding joy? Behold, this is joy which none receiveth save it be the truly penitent and humble seeker of happiness." I just really liked that so there ya go.
Anyway, I love you all so much!! Let me know how you're doing!
Trust in the Lord

Helloooo everybodyyyy!! I hope everyone is doing well! This week has been a wild one!

On Monday we went to a stake picnic and it was like 95 degrees + humid so I was dying.
Tuesday, we had zone conference and it was soooo good! Me and my Zone Leader, Elder Dabell did a musical number so that was terrifying but so fun! I played the piano and he played the violin to "Israel Israel God is calling".
On Thursday we went on exchanges with the Northville sisters, Sister Crowley and Stratford! I went with Sister Stratford in Northville. That night President and Sister Johnson fed us because they live in their area. They made these really good fish tacos. While we were eating President got up and said, "Do you wanna see what I did yesterday at zone conference?" We said yes and he comes back chuckling to himself and has suit pants in his hand. He's telling us he was walking under the projection screen that they have set up at zone conferences and his pants literally ripped along the whole seam of the butt. The worst part is it happened right at the beginning of zone conference.  poor guy. That same night we had a lesson with a guy and he had us sit on his porch. When I tell you I got eaten alive I'm not kidding. Usually, back home mosquito bites aren't that bad but whatever kind of mosquito bit me was out for revenge or something. They swelled up sooooo big and it hurt to walk. I've been going crazy.
This past week we put our friend Becky on date for baptism so everyone pray for Becky!!
There is also a guy in his 60s we were teaching that we had to pass off to the Elders because he wants to marry me and Sister Griffin so that's exciting.
On Sunday in relief society we talked about how strong the power of prayer is and its so true!! Always a good reminder!
Anyway, sorry if this is kinda boring I'm writing this in the car. I love you all so so much!!

Helloooo everybodyyy!! I don't know who knows this but my sister-in-law puts all of my weeklys on a blog and that link is in my bio on Facebook. Well, our zone leaders found it and are bullying me so that's fun! Jk (kinda)

Anyway, this week was a good one! On Monday we had a sisters activity with all of the sisters in the zone and it was so fun!! We went to Outback steak house and then shopped at Target. The rest of the day was pretty chill.
On Tuesday we did service for Varonica, her little family was the cutest. She has a daughter named Aurora that looks exactly like a younger version of my niece Emma. Kinda trippy. She also had a shih tzu for a dog which is what my dog is so I almost cried. To finish it off she gave us a giant bag of fair kettle corn so we've been munching on that all week.
On Thursday we had district council where we had interviews with President. After DC we had exchanges with the Commerce sisters. I stayed in Howell with Sister Incardone. She's been out for 2 weeks and she is just the cutest!! We were able to pick up someone to teach so that was cool!!
Friday we switched back and then Saturday was FULL of miracles!! We started the day by going to a zone breakfast at the stake president's house. That place was NICE!! Anyway, that afternoon we got a text from our mission president that he had a referral for us. He met this lady at a fair while he was standing at a Christian booth and she's from Nigeria and her name is Temi. We called her and she's so excited to meet with us! After that, we got a text from the Temple Square sisters with another referral!! Literally crazy!!! We'll see where both of those go!
This transfer our zone is really focusing on member work. It is soooo golden! So everyone should pray about someone they can share the gospel with or just a missionary opportunity and you'll be so surprised what happens!!
Anyway, I love you all!!
Trust in the Lord!
