The one where I hit my month mark!!

 Hellooo!!

A lot of things happen in a week so let's start at the beginning...

Monday: After p-day ended on Monday we decided to go out knocking doors for the first time. I was so nervous I wanted to die. My companion Sister Nelson pulled over on a random street and asked me how it looked and I said it looke good. We walked up to the house closest to us and knocked and literally the FIRST house we knock this lady named Tiff answers and we start small talk and evenutally get to why we were there. She stops us and explains how crazy it is we were there because she has been going through some stuff and questioning her own faith. She said she definitely is taking us stopping by as a sign from God so we got her number and have tried texting her but nothing has happened yet. After talking with her we asked what houses we should knock on her street and she said definitely not the next 2 but we didn't listen and knocked on them anyway and we ended up getting both of their numbers too ahaha. We thought that was really cool.

Tuesday:
We went over to the branch presidents house he him and his wife fed us pulled pork sandwiches, chopped fruit, and chips and it was by far one of the best meals I've had here. We had to go get the car an estimate for a minor scratch on the bumper and it's almost $900!! That was just insane to us!! After that we went over to the family that we did service for last week and we just talked with them and they are having a lot of tender mercies rolling in we are just working on helping them recognize them. By no means are their trials gone at all but it definitely is an improvement. We got 2 more phone numbers that night from knocking so that's good. Once we got home, we were just hanging out and we looke out the screen door and there was just a skunk walking around. My comp went right outside trying to look at it and I was sooo scared it was going to spray us but it didn't THANKFULLY.

Wednesday:
I had my first District Council and it was really fun! I love being around other missionaries because we are all here for the same reasons. There was a heat advisory and we had members calling us to tell us not to go outside because it was so hot. It was for sure the most humid day I've felt here and in my entire life. We went over to a members house and just visited with them and it felt good because they were BLASTING the A.C. man am I grateful for air conditioning. That night we went to a Relief Society game night and it was super fun! We just love hanging out with old ladies lolol.

Thursday:
I hit my month mark. It felt really weird because when I think aoubt it, July was the longest yet shortest month of my life. I went through so many different changes from being at home, to the MTC, to Ohio. Just crazy but it also kind of feels like it 's flown by. We did some service and then we decided to go out to celebrate my "mission birthday" and we chose this Mexcian restaraunt called Casa Express and it was literally so good. I would say it's comparable to La Fiesta in Elko.

Friday:
Friday's are always really slow because of weekly planning. Nothing really special happened to be honest.
Saturday:
We had Praylyn's baptism and it was an eventful day. We got to the church 3 hours before to start filling up the font. We set up the chairs and got everything ready. The people that were supposed to take care of the music didn't show up so I had to play the piano and it went alright. I'm just grateful I could help. That night we got a few doors slammed in our faces so that was fun.

Sunday:
We went to church and got to listen to the testimonies of the branch members and I just love them. Praylyn and her cousin even got up to say theirs and it was so special. I really felt the spirit. The lesson was on Job and how he was a good man but kept going through a lot of trials and how he stayed positive through it. This lesson was really relevant because everyone we talk to has a really hard life and are constantly going through trials. While being here I have really seen how blessed I have been in my life because of the gospel. While I still go through trials, it is still a lot easier to go through them when you rely on the Lord. I love all of you so much and hope you have the best week!!
