The one where I officially started my mission

Soooo... this week has been crazy! I officially started online MTC and I got to meet my district and my companion. I LOVE everybody in my district! My companion's name is Sister Tuttle and she's from Cottonwood Heights Utah and she is called to serve in the Edmonton Canada mission. We both have so much in common and keep forgetting we aren't going to be companions forever let alone not going to the same mission:(( She is literally the sweetest person ever. And for my district, they are the funniest people ever. I have two other sisters in my district that are going to the same mission as me so that's exciting. My schedule for the past week has been kind of insane. I wake up at 6:30 and I'm in class by 7:30 all the way to 10:30. After that, all the missionaries that started on the 4th had a mandatory workshop for an hour after class. I then had personal study and companion study. On Wednesday and Friday Sister Tuttle and I had a teaching appointment with a girl named A.J. It was just for practice but we definitely learned a lot about teaching people. We then would have class from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Throughout the week when I wasn't in class, I wanted to get out of the house so because Monday was the 4th of July I got to watch the fireworks. On Tuesday we went to the museum and it was fun because I haven't been there since I was little. On Saturday my family and I went to Art in the Park and it was sooo hot but we got good popcorn and dole whip so that made it better. On Sunday I gave my farewell talk and my siblings and I sang a song. I was so nervous and I don't really know why lol. It ended up going really well and I am really grateful for that. I will report to the Provo MTC on Wednesday and I have mixed emotions. I am really excited but it is going to be bittersweet.

While this past week has been insane, I am so grateful for the things I have learned and I'm excited to learn even more. I am so grateful for the gospel and the joy that I have felt because of it. I am excited to teach the people of Michigan and for them to feel the same joy that the gospel has brought me. I know the Lord knows and loves me personally and He loves all of YOU too!! I hope all of you have an amazing week and I am grateful for all of your love and support!

Trust in the Lord
Love, Sister Welch <3
